The shells are clean and deep enough to hold the oyster level, so they travel and sit on ice without spilling. Eat them as they are with a squeeze of lemon, or slide them under a hot grill with a spoonful of garlic butter until the edges just begin to curl. Serve them cold, on crushed ice, with something dry and cold to drink alongside. Open the pack over a bowl to catch every drop. The shells sit level in the pack so the liquor stays where it belongs, and they hold up well on a bed of crushed ice through a long lunch.
